Monitoring the Device Status with Predictive Performance
Predictive Performance provides various functions for estimating the lifetime of consumables, and for planning and recording service and qualification information. It helps the user to define intervals for regular service and qualification dates and replace parts on a timely basis, as well as to document these measures.
The Predictive Performance functions can be selected on a control panel or in the Commands dialog box. Color-coded wellness bars on the control panels provide visual indicators of qualification and service periods, making it easy for the user to get a quick overview and monitor the device status. The color coding of the bars is as follows:
Green: The device or module works properly.
Yellow: A value will soon reach the specified limit, or the related part should soon be serviced or replaced.
Orange: (Only gauges for monitoring a Qualification property) A value has reached the limit, but there is a Grace Period during which the device or module may be operated.
Red: A value has reached the limit. Replacement, servicing, or qualification of the device or module is overdue. The device or module can no longer be used and it is not possible to start a batch. (The OverrideQualification privilege deactivates this setting.)
To create a Predictive Performance gauge for a module on a control panel, follow the steps below:
Add a Wellness Gauge control to the panel by selecting the wellness gauge symbol on the Layout Toolbar.
Select Properties… on the context menu.
On the Link tab page, select the device or module ("Object") and assign it a property ("Object Property").
Define the gauge design, color, and style on the other tab pages.
Select Set Limits on the context menu to modify the device-specific limits.
For details about how to add the control to the panel, also refer to Controlling Devices from the Control Panel Modifying a Control Panel.
Note:
These settings require the Predictive Performance, ChangePerformanceLimit, and ChangeQualificationInterval Privileges. The privileges can be defined in the CM Server Control category of the CmUser Program. For more information, refer to the Administrator Help: Chromeleon User Management Privileges: CM Server Control.
